Perfect for both functional and refined work, Canyon River Green features a firm temper with excellent edge-burnishing capability and long-term durability. The leather is consistent across the grain with a tight, clean flesh side, making it ideal for both lined and unlined work.
Available in a range of weights to suit a wide variety of projects:
- 2–3oz (0.8–1.2mm): Great for linings, small goods, and layered work.
- 3–4oz (1.2–1.6mm): Ideal for wallets, notebook covers, and watch straps.
- 5–6oz (2.0–2.4mm): Perfect for belts, bags, straps, and harness work.
- 6–7oz (2.4–2.8mm): Excellent for heavy-duty belts, tack, armor, and structured goods.

Canyon River Green Vegetable Tanned Leather is fully finished with a waxy feel and a beautiful sheen. After the vegetable tanning process, the leather is hot stuffed with oils and tallows that penetrate through the hides, giving the leather a smooth, rich cut. The bridle leather is weather-resistant due to these oils and waxes. Due to the oils and tallows in our bridle leather, it is not recommended for tooling.
